As one of the founding members of the Seaprog Festival in Seattle, I’ve had a part in organizing every one of the seven festivals presented with that name from 2013 to 2022, as well as other events here and there around town. The Covid pandemic resulted in our 2020 festival getting scrapped after we were well into the planning, and it’s been challenging to get things going again.
That’s why I’m so happy we’ve secured Gong to headline our 2025 event. We’ve decided to call it Cascadence, a name we feel combines a Northwest vibe with a musical reference. I’ve been a fan of Gong since the early 70s, and have only managed to see them once before. The band’s members may have changed (no founding members remain) but the spirit is alive and well.
